Please let me know who have applied PR. As we need passport copies, birth certificates, national ID , work experince letters and educational document
so do we need these as notarized copies or just xerox copies. is there any difference between notarized or true copies and if needed, what do we need notarized or true copies?
Thanks a lot in advance for your time

all Xerox but all your educational documents should notorized by Canadian lawyer .and all your documents from home country IE birth certificate / national id / marriage certificate / relationship certificate should be approved / stamped by legal government department either approved stamp and signed .

Hi Mohit,

Go by the new checklist > http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5610E.pdf
Submit copies unless otherwise stated.

Please avoid using the word 'xerox' copies, it is a brand in itself. There is no need to notarize or attest the copies. Only in case any of your doc is not in English or French, you will have to send a notarized (certified) translation of the doc with a copy of the original version.

Hi Prakasa,

I think they dont ask for any educational documents anymore. On the latest updated document checklist form(Jan, 2013) there are no such documents. I think they removed it because i remember there was a part that is related your education in Canada on the previous document checklist.

I am not sending any anyway as i didnt complete any education in Canada. Plus there is no such document asking on the newest checklist.
I think its better to call CIC for you if you have education here in Canada.

You do not need education documents anymore, since January 2, 2013.
