not in the list... how much time for the refund?????

Hello everyone,
I received a letter from the canadian embassy notifiying that my application was refused because my profession was not on the list, and that they would send me a check with the refund, that was about a month ago. I would like to know how long they really take to give the money back, and if they send it by mail, or how they do it. So, if anyone has already been through this, information will be really appreciated. Thank you guys.

I even didn't get that type of letter. As for as I know they may take 4-6 weeks if you with draw your application. But don't know how long they take after sending a letter.

They told me it will take up to six months. But from other forums, I can tell that refunds have been started to unsuccessful applicants.

My case also not in 38 list . I have filed my case in june & my case started in process in july now on 04.03.09 when i checked my file status it shows that my file trfd to Sydney, nova scotia & they may be contact me.
I want to ask you that as your case also does not fall in 38 list did your case also trfd to canada or it has been refused from that office where you have filed your case my case has been filed from delhi office

Did you get your refund recently? I received my refusal letter on March,17 but still not get the money back. They said they would send it in a several weeks. Please let me know the update news from your case. Thanks,

I emailed buffalo about the timing of refund. They say they dont know.
