Hi All,

This is my first post in this forum. Hope seniors will clarify my doubts.

I am having experience of 10+ years in Mainframe technologies. In February, I was fired and asked to leave the company. I've been trying since then and still didn't get a job yet. Currently, I've joined a course in SAP HANA and hopefully it will get over in a month or so. I am planning to apply for PR through express entry. In the process of getting the transcripts from my colleges now, hopefully by early next week I will be able to send the transcripts to WES for evaluation. Now my questions are:

1) Will it be a problem for being jobless for the last 3 months or more?
2) If it is not a problem, when do I need the reference letter from my previous employer (as I don't have a current employer now)? Will it
be valid, assuming I don't have job at the time after I receive the ITA (just thinking of worst case scenario).
3) I know I have to use the NOC as 2174 for software developer. As I mentioned above, I am doing a course in SAP now, if at all I am given
a PR, is it ok to search job under 2171 (Information systems analysts and consultants) ?

Expecting your valuable inputs/suggestions/clarifications.

Answering to the best of my knowledge:
1. Not mandatory to currently hold a job. Must have atleast 1 year of relevant experience in recent past. So you are good here.
2. You can have a reference letter which is no older than 1-2 month when you apply. But make sure all the requirements are covered. You would require it when you get ITA. You would have 60 days to furnish all required docs.
3. Yeah. No worries on that front.
