Just had talk with Brother in CAnada.

No jobs in Canada at this time......
He suggested me not to leave my Job in India (I am working with world's largest telecom operator) & wait.

tensions...................... :-\ :-X :'(

Jobs in general or telecommunications?

Just one opinion. Try other areas online to see if you can get interviews.

No doubt the world job market has shrunk but there are still new opportunities coming up every day.

Be positive man. No tension too hard to douse. 8)

leaving job and going to canada is hard task ...but no one can be sure that he/she will get a job.

I guess there is definitely a struggle initially, but once you get a hang of how things work, you will always find work.

You have come this far. Shouldn't be that pessimistic. Believe in the long term cause and that should guide you.

Its easy for me to say, go since you have come so far but it doesn't have to be like that. The situation might have changed from the time when you applied or maybe you just have more information now. Either way, you have to make use of all information you have available to make that decision.

I see it differently from many. Don't go to Canada now just because you got the PR.
First of all, if you are comfortable where you are now then think about getting your PR, landing and then moving later.
Any change of situation needs an equal change of action and if job situations has gone down in Canada then wait it out for a bit.
You should decide whether it is better for you to go to Canada now, perhaps take a much much different job (if available) and get Canadian experience now itself; or wait it out and get Canadian experience later, but that would also set you back a bit.

Fellow Canada settling aspirants -
A) Find out one or more reliable sources of information.
B) Obtain information.
C) Validate information and analyze it.
D) Make decisions , plan and follow through.

How can a freak one liner post scare the hell out of you ?

The world is changing every second ; economies go down in a second ; jobs get created at the spur of a moment based on a single decision.

Lets believe in our dreams , plan to go through lesser pains , get prepared to go through a lot of pains and do what needs to be done.

I am sure his brother didn't lie to him. I am also sure his brother wouldn't have said that if it wasn't his true opinion. Remember (for him) who the statement came from.

We must have to realize that the econimy in every country is really bad even in the UK employers are getting 100 applications for one job(according to daily newspaper Metro 11.02.10) But still people r surviving and entering into job by going through tough competition.Specially when u come to a new country from asian countries u will realize people see things here completely different way.So you must have to be prepared to go through tough time for time being.
