If you look at the settlement plan, it does say in section "A. Questionnaire" on the first page that in order to be a supporter (sponsor), you must be able to demonstrate among other things that any applications previously supported by you resulted in successful, permanent economic establishment in Manitoba.

It then asks on page 3 who you have sponsored before and where they currently live.

On the 4th page where you sign, you declare among other things that you understand that you will be prohibited from supporting the MPNP applications of other relatives or friends in the future if the present applicant and/or his/her dependents do not settle successfully and permanently in Manitoba.

So in essence, regardless of if your friend renounces PR or not, if she leaves Manitoba, you can no longer sponsor anybody else. If you want to sponsor somebody else now, she would have to stay until their sponsorship has come

Sorry, I have a follow up question. If worst comes to worst and I got banned from sponsoring, can my husband still get his family members? Or will he too be banned? Thanks!

If you are banned from sponsoring - this ban will include your husband as well.

In the settlement plan, it asks if you or a member of your household has previously sponsored someone and asks where they are living now. However in the signature section, it says that you will be barred from sponsoring, not that all members of your household will, so it's possible that your husband will not be allowed to sponsor but not certain. He should ask the MPNP.

Yes Leon, if my friend goes back home for good and never return to Canada before completing the RO and I will be banned from sponsoring. I'm thinking if my husband can still get family members. I'll ask him to call MPNP to make sure. Thanks.

I don't think it's relevant whether your friend completes the RO but whether your friend leaves Manitoba. Even if your friend completes the RO and then leaves, you would still have to answer that questionnaire stating that you sponsored somebody but they left.

Ok, thank you so much.
