I want to apply for Air Canada flight attendant jobs but holding a Canadian passport required. Is there any way I can get citizenship sooner? Thanks.

Actually this is a valid reason to request expedition. Follow the guidelines on how to expedite your application and submit it. It is then up to the discretion of the agent to determine whether your reasoning is valid and justifiable to them. FWIW your reason is one of the reasons listed on the Citizenship Application website so unless you literally have no experience in the field and are just doing this to jump the queue, you should be good. Worst case you get an AOR early and get denied your expedition request. Of course, you know the best case.

Good luck!

Thank you.. Yeah I am sure they won’t accept it actually. I got my AOR this August already. I also want to move to BC from Alberta. If I do that does it affect my citizenship application processing time? Thank you..

I think OP already has AOR.

Was this on the Air Canada website as there are only 4 job postings at the company right now. If you click on the apply now for jobs posted on google 3 days ago, it says flight attendant jobs are no longer available. As I said over 5000 laid off flight attendants.

That job posting was not an official Air Canada job posting and you should NOT be giving any personal information to them

  • He has a good listening and he focuses on finding solutions.
  • He is comfortable speaking publicly.
  • It respects the importance of the rules and regulations of the industry and Air Canada.
  • He is ready to wear our uniform perfectly, with pride, by following our detailed standards of appearance.
  • He is at least 18 years old.
  • He naturally shows empathy and courtesy in all circumstances.
  • He always treats others with respect and naturally shows a warm and caring attitude.
  • He is passionate about service excellence.
  • He proudly represents Canada at home and abroad.
  • He holds a valid Canadian passport that allows him to travel to all countries served by Air Canada.
  • He is willing to work irregular hours (mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays) as a very flexible work schedule is required to fill this position.
No legitimate job posting refers to applicants in the masculine, and it’s written in poor English
Btw, AC as mentioned still has thousands on lay-off . They would not be hiring from outside when per their union site they are only marginally recalling individuals

What do you guys think about if moving from Alberta to BC would delay the processing time for citizenship application? I got my AOR last August. Applied-March 2020.

There will be at least 2 to 4 months delay if you're lucky. In worst case, it may take longer than that.

I would recommend apply for the Aircanada Job and make sure it’s already mentioned in their job description . And also when you apply try to contact with the HR by email . If she says that you should be citizen for this job , please ask her replying in email and use this attachment and submit during your application if already not done and make sure you quote “urgent on the envelope “

if you got already AOR and planning to expedite the process , then use we form by submitting your supporting documents.
You are good to go
There are no flight attendant jobs currently with Air Canada , the job offer is a scam and asking a scammer for a reference to support a citizenship application could be considered misrepresentation or even fraudulent.

Sure if the Air Canada job were genuine then getting a genuine employer letter stating citizenship was mandatory would maybe support expediting an application, but not in this case where the job vacancy is fake.

Even if the OP contacted Air Canada directly then assuming they even replied they would likely just refer to the official Air Canada website. Without an actual job offer then requesting anything to be expedited seems unlikely to succeed based on a ‘ what if I get this job’ else everyone might try that approach

it doesn’t matter here to show the proofs . We need to give a solution to the applicant and not getting into the why’s
The question had to be asked as she posted a scam job. She didn’t know it was a scam job. She can’t get expedited citizenship for applying to a scam job. Applying for expedited processing could have caused her bigger issues (misrepresentation and fraud).
