restriction to CIC, as to why they have given
u an oath date so late in Jan. I am asking this
bec April/May applicants will then have their
oaths much later in the game.

I gave them a travel restriction for first week of December. Silly me thought it would come in early December. Not sure why late January but could be because a lot of people wrote exams in Oct. There were two shifts of exams the day I took and each were at least 50 plus.

Also they don't have January ceremonies listed on the website yet, so not sure if they are having as many as any other month.

Hello! Finally I checked my ecas and its shows I have invited for oath ceremony on jan25 2016 took my test oct14. My concern is I've already booked my flight and I'm not here for that day. What should I do? Any suggestion do I need to stopby in Calgary cic to reschedule my oath earliest or later or call the cic call centre! Thanks

call the call center and they will help you reschedule

They will let send them a letter by fax, and then they will reschedule it when you come back. They will ask you if you will be absent for more than two months or less than two months. I suggest you delay your ticket better instead of doing your oath when you come back. I had the same issue and i decided not to send the letter and delay my flight as well. Because one of my friends left and they said that her oath will be when she comes back.

However, you can still call them and ask.

I did my test on OCT 16 and haven't received anything yet .

Yah I know! So sad! Been waiting for it for a long time then suddenly I booked my flight for vacation I can't cancel the ticket if I refunded it they just give me 70% of the total amount so I might go through on my holiday! But still hoping that they gonna reset my oath before I leave! Thanks for the advise!! Wish everybody receive their invitation for oath soon! goodluck people!

year break, i think this is not the way a responsible
govt office should work. anyhow just unfortunate news for

I know people that are getting oath for mid Jan and late Dec

I meant after Jan 8th and before Jan 25th. I dont
think anyone can get any oath in mid jan or late dec
as there are no ceremonies in calgary.

Not sure why Calgary (oath) is again
going for a long break after coming from a christmas/new yr break.
Ohh I see, they can just keep people hanging for 6 months after test I suppose
because they know no one can officially complain about it.
