Here is the news I got - Calgary and other offices are now clearing backlog as old as 2009.......we are literally stuck in this mess. I am sorry about all geniune applicants who were waiting so long in the queue, but they held all other applications in order to accomodate the backlog thats not fair either.

:( :( :( :( :( :( :(

? So offices still process files that are 5 years old. I thought 36 month is already a nightmare for RQ files. I dont know how Chris Alexander could promise that by the end of next year citizenship files will be finalized in less than a year. Doesn`t seem this guy knows what hes talking about.

My be you for got to observe in CIC backlock clearing projection little dot beside "*conditions apply"

Conditions are - "Doesnt apply to calgary applicants" :P :P :P :P :P

Hi guys,

They received my application on October 23 (Checked Canada Post). How long does that normally take to receive the confirmation letter? Also, is there a way I can check my status online without having received the confirmation letter first?

Thanks!

Looks like you recently applied, what makes you disappointed ? ;D ;D ;D

A community friend of mine waiting for that long, told me he got notice to appear for test and then I called CIC few days back a very nice agent confirmed that all offices are focusing on backlogs past few few months.

Looking at other people in this forum reporting their file movement after RQ in 2012....I pieced it all together.
