Now another problem.

I just returned from USA after spending 6 hours. The USA border guy did not stamp my passport. When I requested he started to scream and say its not needed >:( >:( >:(. I just left the post. When I came back to Canada CBSA stamped my passport. What implications this can have when applying for citizenship.

He is right you dont need an EXIT stamp on the passport. Only people from ARAB/MUSLIM countries get an EXIT stamp at the US border. I lived as a student in the US, I am familiar with this.

Did you read the one line I wrote??? I said WAS IS A US PASSPORT??

The only time US doesnt stamp passports is when it is a US one.

Thats weird, and did they give you an I-94 that you returned when you left? Did you by any chance take a copy or picture of that?

If you need to prove that it was a one day trip then get a CBP report (it may have a different name than this), similar to the CBSA report in Canada, which shows when you entered, and possibly exited, the US.

I dont know about US passports, but this happened to me when I was exiting the border. They were putting departure stamp on all Middle Eastern/aRABIC people passport... they said I am good to go .. they dont put EXIT stamps on other passports.

Before 2011 they had an exit registration requirements for certain nationals. This no longer exists.

Okay, maybe this could be it. I was there much before 2011. Nobody put stamp on my passport or the people around me, but they had set aside a few arab families whose passports were receiving the departure stamps.

CanV - no I-94 nothing. The only reason CBP officer gave for not stamping the passport is that I entered USA last month and that stamp is still valid.

you don't need a stamp if you have already one.
check the last stamp's date that you got, you will find out the answer.

Then you actually entered under "automatic re-validation", which you can do within a month from your last US departure IF you still had your prior's visit I-94 with you. If you surrendered your I-94 in your prior visit then the officer erred in admitting you under auto re-validation and you actually needed to be admitted again with new I-94, stamped.

Ok cool. Thanks a lot. I-94 is now fully electronic; am I right?

Not sure. How do they know you left the US when you dont hand in an actual I-94?
