I would say that you can never trust the portals, unfortunately. Some people receive approval or refusal and the portals still say that it hasn't even started and is only updated later.
It's just odd that nothing is in progress and eligibility not started. They are not processing my application at all at this time

my last upgrade was in July 11, I don't believe they need this long time to verify eligibility.

Guys I did my application on Jun 14 inside canada (I`m here doing my pathway), a Study Visa for me and a SOWP for my wife.

Medical exam was Upfront, I checked with the panel physician and they already sent it

Jun 14 we did the application, the biometrics letter come at the same day, we did it on Jun 15, but after that we did not get any update, the portal still the same as the application day, is it normal?

Hello members, I received my Original Passport Request a few hours ago and would like to share my timeline for NON-SDS study permit visa from India for Fall 2023.

Upfront Medical Exam: 13th May 2023
Application Sent: 10th July 2023 (Yes I know I submitted my application very late for Fall admissions, in fact a month before my classes start)
Biometrics completed on 14th July 2023
Biometrics Updated on 14th July 2023
Medical Updated: 28th July 2023
Original Passport Request: 28th July 2023

In conclusion, it took me 18 days to get the study permit. My medical hadn't been updated for a long time which made me anxious and I raised a number of Webforms in all the three Visa Centres in India (I sent around 7 Webforms out of which I got 1 automated reply and one reply assuring me that the medical will be updated soon). What's weird is that my GCKey still shows my Background check and Eligibility to be under process(?), same thing in the tracker as well, medical and eligibility are still not started in it. Although the conclusion in GCKey shows my application is approved so I guess there isn't much to worry about. To the ones waiting for your approval, I wish you GOOD LUCK!

Hi @rosendotiago, This was pretty much what happened to me, nothing was updated after my biometrics for several days. My medical was updated on the same day on which I got my passport request. If you still have concerns regarding your medical, I would advice you send your medical report pdf in Webform.

Hola @mile80, esto es mucho tiempo, ¿se comunicó con el centro de visas al respecto? ¿Ha enviado formularios web para abordar este retraso?
[/CITA]
Hello @mile80, this is very long time, did you contact the visa center regarding this? Have you sent Webforms addressing this delay?
Hi, yes I have sent two web forms.
In the first one the answer was that my husband's application was in admissibility assessment.... one month later I sent the second web form and the answer was that our applications were in background checks

@mile80 You should probably send it again. 21 weeks is too much time for non-sds visa.

Hi I’ve applied for Student Visa Non SDS + SOWP
I’m worried on the processing time for my application.
Application launched 1st June
Biometrics letter on same day
Biometrics updated on GCKEY June 8 completed
Upfront medical was done and updated to completed on July 6th.

It says in progress reviewing eligibility and background check.
No idea how long it will take for the decision now.
My classes are supposedly starting on 6th of September, 2023.
