Hi everyone,

I am creating this thread to encourage anyone who has applied under non-SDS and is looking forward to their final decision.

I have been a silent member on this platform always reading. I must say, if you compare your timeline to views on here, you will mostly be depressed or sometimes have a bit of hope. This is to give you hope. One thing I realised is there are no two same applications but with prayers and determination, all things are possible.

So I earlier applied non-SDS paper based and I was denied. Find the timeline below

Application Office: Accra, Ghana
Application Date: 6th May 2019
Biometrics Date: 6th May 2019
Refusal Date: 17th May 2019
Reasons: Personal assets and finances; Purpose of visit

I improved my application and re-applied online, addressing the refusal reasons in my Letter of Explanation (LOE). Find the timeline below

Application: Online Non-SDS
Application Date: 31st July 2019
Biometric Updated: 1st August 2019
Medical Request: 17th August 2019
Medical Test Taken: 19th August 2019
Medicals Passed: 24th August 2019
Biometric Verification Correspondence: 26th August 2019

Now after this it looked like the Visa Office had forgotten about me, not a single update on my application. From this forum, most people received a decision between 24 hours to 8 days after receiving the BVC but it had been 4 weeks and nothing yet. You can imagine the frustration. I sent a webform on 16th September 2019 since it had already exceeded the 6 weeks timeline for Ghana processing time. Then finally on 27th September, I received the original passport request email.

This could not have been possible without prayers. If you are a believer, just know our God will never leave nor forsake you. Just keep praying, persisting and keep hope alive, He will come through for you.

Best wishes everyone!

Hi...

I can understand this situation of yours....as I am also going through same situation....

My timeline is as follows:

Application: online Non- Sds.
Application date: 30 August 2019.
Biometrics update: 2 September 2019.
Medical passed: 9 September 2019.
Student acknowledgement letter: 13 September 2019.
Biometric correspondence letter: 17 September 2019.

Since then it's been 11 days now no final decision yet.

And I am from India and our processing time is 4 weeks.

God knows what happen and I also feel like they forgot my application.

What did you write in your web form?

And did you received any reply from them in your mail account ? As I heard they never respond back to emails.

Hi,

Please keep hope alive and consistently pray about it. Also, you can send a web form, although I had no reply to the web form I submitted.

All the best, hope for a positive response.

I basically gave them my timeline and made them aware I have exceeded the 6 weeks timeline with no update at all and humbly requested they update me on what is happening with my application.

Upon submission of the web form, I saw a message that it takes 28 days to receive a reply to the webform. Although I didn’t get a direct response to my webform, I can’t tell if it had an effect in triggering the final decision today.

My advice: It doesn’t hurt to send one webform if you have exceeded the timeline.

All the best.

Can you post the web form link

My country processing time is 4 weeks = 28 days so these days include Working days like Monday to friday ? Or it includes monday to sunday ? If we count processing time how should we count the days then ? Any advice and idea?
It includes Monday to Sunday. I got my Medical request email on a Saturday. If we are to go by it, then weekends are inclusive.
