Recently I have made an enquiry with MP office for helping me with spousal sponsorship. IRCC have provided some regular updates including these.
  • Nothing is pending as all requested documents have been provided
  • Currently, your case is considered non-routine. When an application is considered non-routine, the estimated time for processing does not apply anymore
We had interview three months ago but after that there is no update at all. My wife and I both attended interview together.

Anybody please help how can we expedite in this case? our file pending approval for thirty four (34) months.

Your feedback is greatly appreciated

The only option you have to try to expedite is to hire a lawyer and have the lawyer file for mandamus.

Hi, I would say hire or seek an advise from Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant and a member of ICCRC (Immigration Consultant of Canada Regulatory Council). Make sure they are registered with respective government regulatory body. It might cost you a bit depending on complexity of your case but totally worth it. You can verify RCIC/IRCC consultant credential status on government website as well.

They are very resourceful and can guide you through how to nevigate in specific situation. If your case is complex or has discrepancy with no straightforward answer then look for an advise from government regulated consultant. Don't go to any person who claim to help in immigration cases without legitimate credentials.

In day to day vocabulary someone may call it an Immigration lawyer or Immigration consultant but make sure they are registered with respective government regulatory body. FYI - RCICs are definitely not immigration lawyers. I don't think anyone here would ever refer to an RCIC as an immigration lawyer. They are consultants.

An RCIC cannot file mandamus. Only an actual real immigration lawyer can do this.
