Hi, are there any updates regarding the AOR status? Which application dates are currently receiving AORs?
I submitted my PR application at the end of December 2024 and am trying to estimate my status. Thank you in advance.

Hello everyone
I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR ADVICE
I have presently applied for non-express entry PR. My husband has a refusal for his study permit- reason being he booked his medical exam twice. I have applied him as a dependent on my PR file. He lives in India. I am here in Canada. The thing, that bothers me is we’ve been in long distance for almost 6 years now and I don’t see a way out of this for another one year at least.
Should I just wait or is there any other better option?

Hello guys,
I need your help in this matter.
I applied PR for me and my wife under non express entry international student stream (OINP) in August 2024. We have done biometrics on January 2025 after getting AOR in January 2025. Current status is biometrics completed, medical not started, eligibility review not started and background check under processing. My question is whether IRCC will ask for medical test again since we both did our medical before coming to Canada?. Our medical's are done within the 5 years of filing our PR application. We both live in Canada now. When we filed the PR application, we attached our medical information sheet that contain unique medical identifier number. In Canada.ca website, for in Canada applicants it is stated that

"We’ve extended the temporary public policy for immigration medical exams (IMEs) until October 5, 2029. Updated

If you completed an IME within 5 years of submitting your new application, include the IME number (or the unique medical identifier number) from your previous IME in your current application.

Reasons you may be exempt
You may be exempt from completing another IME if you meet all of these conditions:

1.You applied or are applying for either permanent residence or temporary residence
2.You already live in Canada
3.You completed your previous IME in the last 5 years
4.Your previous IME indicated a low risk or no risk to public health or public safety"

Please someone clear my doubt whether IRCC will again ask us for a new medical test?. Thank you.

Hello everyone,

I have a question regarding my PR application (Non-Express Entry PNP OINP)

As we know current processing time is 20 months. Now my application date is July 30, 2024 and I received my AOR and BIL on January 10, 2025.

So, these 20 months processing from the date of application or from the date of AOR?

Can somebody please confirm?
I am also in the same boat

Hi! My family and I had done the medicals before coming to Canada in 2022. I got the AOR on 23rd Dec 2024. I did not have to do the medical again. They have considered the old medical. Tracker shows Medical completed.

@prashant55 : For Canadian Permanent Residency (PR) applications, processing time starts when Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) receives your complete application, not when you receive the Acknowledgment of Receipt (AOR)
