Just notice the date changed to May 16th from last 20th April and my BG check on AST shows (updated to completed). But on GC key it still shows (We are processing your background check). Does this means I have passed Eligibility criteria?
. Please.

Dear Friends,
I received the OINP nomination yesterday and I'm planning to apply for PR.
In the nomination letter, it is mentioned that I have to apply for a paper-based application.
However, in the nomination letter, they have shared the CIC link which states that I need to apply online.
Has someone gone through the same situation? if yes, can you please confirm if I need to apply paper-based or online for my PR?

I have added instructions from OINP (In the Nomination letter) below.

Visit IRCC's website (www.cic.gc.ca) for instructions and forms for applying for permanent residence. IRCC must
receive your complete application before the nomination certificate expiry date of November 12, 2023.

Send a copy of this letter along with your complete application for permanent residence to the Centralized Intake

I am in the same situation as you. Under LMIA, working by Closed Work Permit, I just get pay the minimum wage (the lack of benefits too). I checked the processing time everyday because I don’t want to work there anymore. It seems hopeless and stressful. Good luck, be strong and be patient.
Good day. Please were you nominated by job offer through province? Because I got a job offer outland, and LMIA exempt. I got my nomination through the job offer and also applied for work permit and it has been approved, just started the pr process mar 25th 3 days before it's expiration date.
AR 25th MAR 2023
AOR 4th APR.
Med p 4th APR
Bio p 4th APR
ADR: RPRF 6th APR
I already had medical and bio done for work permit so it was not requested and passed immediately. Background check on tracker in process. Eligibility not started. One ghost update in tracker. but nothing on GCKEY even medical says in process on GCKEY. nothing on GCKEY till now.

Apply online. It happened with my spouse. They said same thing, but we applied online and pay all the fees online. We couldn't submit the application without medical and police clearance certificate. So I don't know if it will apply to you too. Just do the needful by collecting all documents with checklist and try to apply first to know if you will need medical and police clearance certificate done before you can submit. I hope this helps check for the online application portal ircc web.

HI Shane,
I have a question to ask, my dependant child's passport is going to expire in August, should I renew and send them copy via webform , I don't know if they will ask or not or should I do this upfront. please give your suggestion.
Hi Sonalim,

I think the general consensus surrounding passport and travel is that you should have at least 6 months remaining.
It all depends on the case, is your dependent inside of outside of Canada, if they are outside and is required to travel to Canada, I would definitely apply for a new passport and update IRCC.

Thank you dear.
we are outside Canada. so as u also suggest, I will apply for renewal pp and submit the copy to IRCC.
Please can you also advise, if eligibility is passed before BG check completion or after. I looked for answers on google and forum but difficult to understand which 1 is correct.

Good day
I have a question. I applied close WP before my spouse WP expires(March 2023)
Then I received letter from IRCC saying that “you are authorized to continue working with same conditions until June 1,2023 or until a decision is made on your application, whichever is first”
Does it mean if I couldn’t get WP approval until June 1, so I have to stop working?
Appreciate your reply

Eligibility is usually done prior to BG check however in rare cases it can be done after too. If your bg check shows as complete than it means your criminality, info sharing and security has passed. so congrats usually these are the most time taking. Hopefully good news soon. For further clarity you can call and ask as well as my eligibility on the online tracker shows as not started but when I call and ask they say my eligibility has been passed/ is complete since 1st of Feb.

Hi, could someone please tell me if pre-arrival letter is just for outside applications?
They usually send it to all as its an automated message but on rare occasions some people either get it the same day as portal 1 or don't get it at all. However its of use only for outland applicants mostly as they need services which will help them settle quicker in Canada, inlands mostly are already settled, with jobs etc. etc. so they dont need it really.

More than two months after this letter passed… and nothing.
