Hi @Miss bee
My child was born in Canada so in the profile at the beginning of the portal, I didn’t include her name as a dependant. It asked about family members to be included in the application. I didn’t include her since she is a citizen. However, on the family information, I have included her as my child and indicated her birthplace in Canada. I also uploaded her birth certificate and passport.

Did I do it right?

Yes you don’t need to add her as dependent. Only mention information in Family information form . Also attach copy of birth certificate.

Since you’ve received confirmation via SMS that your medical results have been submitted to IRCC, you’re generally set from your side. IRCC should have received your results electronically if the clinic followed standard procedure.
1. Check your IRCC Account: If you applied online, log in to your IRCC account and check your application status. It may take some time for the medical results to show as “passed,” but you may see updates related to your medical.
2. No Additional Documents Needed: Since the clinic submitted your results directly, you don’t need the E-medical sheet or any additional documents unless IRCC requests them.
3. Wait for IRCC Processing: IRCC will notify you if they need further information or if there are any issues with your medical results.
4. Follow-Up Only if Necessary: If it’s been more than 30 days and there’s no update in your application regarding the medicals, you could submit a web form to IRCC to inquire about the status of your medical exam.

This process generally goes smoothly, so unless IRCC reaches out, you should be good to proceed with the application without any extra action.

How much time does it takes for entire processing after Biometric submission?

I have a June 2024 application and it's Outland application. Anyone in the same boat ?

@Miss bee It's almost 45 days since ADR submission I have not received any update. It shows "Documents you provided have been uploaded" . Also I have observed that a lot of people have not got any update after ADR. Is it common to take this long ?

Yes, it’s quite common for post-Additional Document Request (ADR) processing times to vary significantly. Often, it can take several weeks or even months, depending on the specifics of each application and the current workload of the immigration office handling it. The “Documents you provided have been uploaded” status essentially confirms they have received your documents, but it doesn’t necessarily mean they’ve reviewed them yet.

So I just got my pre-arrival letter, does that mean i'm getting pretty close to final decision?
Yes, in many cases, background checks may still be ongoing when the pre-arrival letter is issued. The pre-arrival letter usually indicates that eligibility requirements have been met, but IRCC often continues with background and security checks afterward. These checks can sometimes take a bit of time, depending on the complexity of the applicant’s history and any external agencies involved in the process.
Since you’ve received the pre-arrival letter, it suggests that everything is on track and nearing completion. If no additional issues arise during the background checks, the next communication should likely be Portal emails.

Hi @Miss bee ,

So for my PR application, my MP reached out to IRCC and they flipped criminality from not started to complete, as it seems like they made a mistake. Basically criminality was completed months ago but they set it as nto started during switch to next office. However, now my Security is in "not started" and everything else is completed. The agent who reviewed the note from MP put a note on the file saying :
"Pending verifications, will continue processing after"

What could this mean exactly? Is it possible that security is in progress and they messed up like criminality and put the wrong status?
