There is no time limit, and I am waiting to hear back from them, I am stuck on security for 6 months, and I passed 18 months of processing time but still, they didn't finish my application whenever I called them they said to wait for your application is under security check there is no time frame it could take 6 months to two years, i mean seriously? i did what ever i can, i called my local mp , i emails to Prime minister i emails to immigration minister, i raised webforms , i ordered gcms notes but nothing helped out, i dont know what to do here , i am done with this system trust me

Well idk anything about your application or your background but id say just sue the faaking system and also start getting interest on the fees you paid!
Useless noobs are handling immigration files lol

Unfortunately we never agreed, no one did but decided by Govt and we have to follow it.
My only concern is for AOR not my ecopr.

Yeah, that sort of stuff just rubs me the wrong way. I don't know why they decided to have 60% more personnel in EE than required and reduce the processing time so much. Their service standard is supposed to be 6 months for EE. They could simply transfer the excess staff to other types of applications with some training. The current situation seems incredibly lopsided and inefficient.

My work permit expires September 4th, I have about 2 weeks left.

If I do not get ECOPR by then, do I still have to apply for BOWP?

It is very frustrating to be in these delays...

Yes technically you are still on temporary status until you get your ECOPR . Getting portal request means your application is approved but you are not yet permanent residence yet . Your status is still temporary till that time . If you didn’t get COPR by that time submit BOWP application. If you get COPR after submission, your BOWP application will be cancelled and you will get refund for money. Note it’s your responsibility to keep your status legal until you get your COPR.

You will get it . Be positive. But remember there is no harm in submitting BOWP and submit before 1-2 days before expiration date . You will not loose any money for fees .

Really depends on your background check. If your case is simple, it could be fast within 2-3 months. If you get stuck in security check, it could be much longer (6 months to 2 years)..

Hi all,
I just got a document request from IRCC regarding my application, that says " Employment records: An original and recent letter of employment indicating the start date, annual or hourly rate of pay, and regualr hours per week. Recent paystubs and T4s from the past two years."

For the letter of employment, should I use one from last time, or request a new one, thanks.
