Hi all,

I recently applied under the International Student Stream in OINP, and I'm happy to share that my nomination was approved on June. However, I've encountered a situation where my position/title has changed.

According to my nomination letter, I'm required to maintain the same terms of employment throughout the nomination period until I receive permanent residence. This includes my employer, position title, duties, wage, hours of work, and work location.

In my case, everything remains the same except for the position title, while the duties, employer, wage, hours, and work location are unchanged.

Has anyone else experienced a similar situation? If so, how did you handle it, and what was the outcome? I appreciate any guidance you can provide. Thank you in advance!

Job title doesn’t matter. Job duties matter. If your job duties are same you don’t have to worry.

Hello, I have the same situation. Change of title and wage but my duties remains the same. What did you and what happen to your application? Shall I notify OINP, will it not affect my PR application???

I reached out to OINP, and they advised that for a title change, I need to submit a web form along with a supporting letter from the employer. Therefore, a job offer confirmation letter stating that my title has changed from —— to ——, with no changes in NOC, duties, wage, hours of work, or work location, was collected from HR and submitted via web form. Hope this helps.
