I was just wondering if there have been or are there anybody other than Americans applying through Buffalo? I haven't seen that many and wonder if the process is longer ect. Please share your thoughts if there is anyone else :)

hi kelkel i am in the process of putting my application together and like you I am also appplying through buffalo even though i am not an american but i am currently in canada on a post graduation work permit. I plan on sending my package off in early march. I am glad that you started this thread because I have been wondering how other in a similar situation have fared through buffalo.

Np it would be nice to get an idea of some timelines as majority of people on the Buffalo thread are from the States.

i have a silly question for you kelkel. when you get to part 3 of the outland application where the region specific forms are, did your boyfriend follow the one from the United states or did he follow the one from germany?

I believe we followed the one from Buffalo. They're pretty similar to the European one except amount of pics required I think.

thanks for your reply kelkel :)

kelKel is awesome. :D

Gotta agree!!! ;D ;)

I am applying through Buffalo too, my wife is going to be Canadian Citizen, I am on a work visa in US...originally from Delhi, India. I sent my application to CPC-M on 1st Feb, lets see when and what we get back. 1 error I did was, somehow I missed the document checklist on the website and didnt send in the Option-C for my wife although she has never been on govt. support. She called to ask CIC when to send it and later that day someone from CIC called her and said to not send the additional docs. as yet till the CPC-M doesnt ask for it.

Does anyone know of the timeline if CPC-M askes for additional docs for sponsorship approval, how long it takes after sending the additional docs?

CPC-M won't normally ask for additional documents - if something is missing that they need to assess the sponsor, they usually send the whole application back. Unfortunately, the Option C is part of the sponsor's process, so you might see the ap come back so it can be included and sent again to CPC-M.
