Hey All just wondering if anyone has done spousal sponsorship with non accompanying dependents who have NOT included passports?

We have found a doctor that does not require the passports in order to do the medical exam so we don't require passports for that. And we really don't need to get them passports for any reason right now other than to fill in the "passport number" section of one of the forms.

Can I write N/A in their passport section or will they end up requesting them in the end anyways?

Thanks!

Hi

I'm an inland applicant. Here is my experience.

My non-accompany son didn't have his passport at very beginning when I submitted my app and I just put N/A and the VO didn't require the info when they gave me AIP. However, the doctor asked for a passport to do the medical exam so I got it for my son, since we got passport, we sent the copy with the medical receipt in together just in case.

It does't matter for this initial application but you will be needing them in the end anyways. They will ask you the photo copies of their passports at the time of submission of your documents. You have to prepared for it..

Hi Itscoezy -

I am in the same situation - non accompanying dependent does not have or need a passport. I see from yur timeline that in Jan 2013 a Passport was requested - was this for the non accomoanying dependent? I am hoping to avoid getting one so am hoping you can advise whether you had to in the end.

Thanks for your help! Beau
