Thanks. Does it have a time limit for him to land?
As long as he lands before the validity of the visa expires. Validity of visa usually coincides whenever the medical is approved.

Do we need it to update the form? So you mean we can't do anything not until he have a passport?
You need to update the form as soon as possible, You don't have to wait your child's passport , in order to update the form. You can send your child passport via webform, whenever it's ready, or CIC will send you a request for additional document.

Our inland spousal application was sent December 18, 2017.
Got out AOR February 05, 2018.

I was sponsored by my husband who is a Canadian Citizen. I have a dependent child with my past relationship and he was included on our application as my dependent child, accidentally we put him in non-accompanying dependent child but that is not what we want to happen. We want him here. We made a mistake for not understanding what non accompanying means. We just thought that since he was not here in Canada he can't accompany me right away. Is there a way of changing him from non-accompanying to accompanying dependent child? Would it slow down my whole pr process? What's the best way to do now? Thankyou so much for the help.
I have non-accompanying child it just mean that u can sponsor them later. At the end u just need to finish first yours because Immigration exam the child anyway accompanying or not. they will ask u later to send 4 passport picture, international birth certificate or u let it translate if its not in english or french, after they will ask u to undergoing the medical exam, like you. after your PR is finish your child will be fast to join you. its the most easy way.

I'm not sure you understand what you are suggesting.
If the applicant finishes her PR first and then sponsors her child after, it is very unlikely that the child would be able to receive a TRV to travel to Canada until the child's PR was complete.

The OP wants her child's status of non-accompanying to accompanying because it was a misunderstanding. The OP does not want to be separated from her child any longer than is necessary.

Ok yah. I understand. Thanks for the help. We're already on process of getting his passport. We will be able to get it no longer than 2weeks.

Yes you were right. We does not want to be separated from my child any more longer. And as of now the child is always looking for me. So it would be great if I can have him here right away.

I'm watching this thread because I'm curious. If you are able to get your child switched from non-accompanying to accompanying I'm wondering if a dependent can be outside Canada on an inland application (even though the principal application is in Canada).

If the child gets switched to accompanying, do you have IMM5604 ready and the custody agreement should show that the child has permission to move to Canada. My wife needed to go Family Court to get the form signed and to amend the custody agreement because the father refused. My wife doesn't have sole legal custody. We did an Outland application because of the necessary travel of my stepson to visit his father.
Hello did u succeed?. Am in a similar situation
