Hi Ilaine, this is a pretty common tactic for ex-spouse's/partners and there are several solutions. Just to be clear before I answer though, you are saying that your child is not accompanying you for your initial landing into Canada, is that correct? Also what country are you from and how old is your child?

Yes it is correct. I'm from The Philippines and my child is 10 years old. Thank you
