I have been trying to understand, on some website/videos it says to get this we need to have a job offer first, and than the respective province has to apply for it etc...
the second one was that, can apply directly to the selected province and wait to be selected? How d oes it actually work please?

Also say if you get selected for some xyz province, but when you get down canada you decide to move @other province is that possible, or via nomination program you're bound to work for/in province who has
nominated the individual... please explain

Hi,

Provincial Nominee Programme (PNP) works different in each province in Canada, they have different minimum requirement.
You have to go to specific Province's website and follow their guides from there.
You have to apply for PNP, once you get approved they will send you Provincial Nominee Certificate stating that you have got approved for PNP.
PNP have expiry date, before expiry date you have to apply for your status like work permit/PR, if your PNC runs out, you can apply for another one.
You have to stay in specific province from where you got the nomination, unless you receive open work permit or Canadian PR.
so let's say if you got PNP from Ontario, you have to stay in Ontario until you get the canadian PR or Open work permit for anywhere in canada.
Hope this helps

erm but when we apply PR via express entry isn't that a PR you're mentioning or open?
Am bit more confused now... as you saying until we get PR if nominated by a province... what visa is this the one most of us are applying (PR)...
Or do you mean that if we apply express entry and use nomination... rather getting sort of Open PR for any province we get allocated one... so more like a company based work permit?

If that's the case.. not sure if its a good option to try get nomination?

PR is not bound to any province, it is for anywhere in canada.
Once you apply PR via PNP, and your PR gets approved, you are free to go anywhere in Canada.
I myself applied through EE with PNP and I got my PR approved. As PNP will give you 600 points for EE, you will get yourself in EE draw right away.
When you go for your landing after geriing confirmation of permanent residence, IRCC officer will tell you that you can work anywhere in Canada hence you can reside anywhere you wish.
Once you have your Confirmation of Permanent residence and finished landing process, you are Canadian Permanent Residence not to a particular province.
Hope this clears doubt.

ah okie, so the above PR you mentioned at first was the old school method to apply for PR?
As i literally was like **beep beep**... i.e. i have to go and work and stay in the province who will issue PnP

PR I mentioned in the first reply was via EE too.
You definitely have to stay in Province who issued PNP for work until you get PR, but once you got PR you are free to work and stay anywhere in Canada.

If you have your points done with EE with/without PNP, you can apply for PR right away.
application process doesn't make any difference on either you have PNP or not.
If you apply through EE, its normally 4-6 months you will get your Confirmation Of permanent residence, but for that period of time you have to work in specific province and/or specific workplace if mentioned on work permit.
