Hi All.

I have a question regarding Declining an ITA with Nomination.

I have a NS Nomination which is valid will 31st Dec 2015. I have received an ITA in 12th Draw.

Now I am confused about :

1) What happens If I decline my ITA on the 59th Day ?

2) What happens to the extra 600 points I got from NS Nomination ?

3) If I decline the ITA ,will my Nomination be stil valid for next draw ?

Thanks,
kn

No one has tried doing this and reported on the forum yet and given that people without ITA outnumber people with ITA here, you are probably not a crowd favorite right now for asking such a question! ;)

I imagine that it will be fine if you choose to decline this ITA because your PN is valid till 31st Dec. Those 600 points will stay in your profile and your CRS will continue to stay 600+ till 31st Dec 2015. Which means that you will receive an ITA on every draw till that date unless you choose to accept an ITA and move on with it.

Thanks Asivad , Yes thats true.. a Diff Question..

One more thing , might sound silly...

Is there any email address where I Can ask CIC about this and get a confirmation that I my 600 points of PN will remain intact for next draw.

I am planning to decline in around first week of September , So I will expect a invite again around 15th Sep which will be having a 60 day time to apply till Mid November.

By that time my FBI PCC will also arrive.

Also , Now my wife is preg. so we can't get the xray done till next March. So anyway I will not get a PR till next March. But if I apply in first week of November , my processing will go on till May 16. (Taking as 6 months processing period). So I will also get my wife's medical by that time.

In this whole process , 2 more things bother me :

1) My EE profile was created on 3rd Jan 2015. So It will be valid only till 2nd Jan 2016. Will this affect my processing ?

2) Will there be so frequent draws between September 15 and December 15. Some friends scared me by saying : What if there is no draw between September and December.. :( as my PN letter is valid only till 31st December 2015.

Awaiting a precious comment from all.

THanks,

Which is precisely where the LOE helps.

I would recommend that you submit the documents with this ITA and provide LOEs wherever there are gaps to be explained - PCC, Medicals etc. In the best case scenarios, CIC will process your application as usual and accept additional documents whenever you submit them using a CSE. Worst case scenario, your application gets rejected. But you can still get it reopened with a CSE. Even if that doesn't go through, your PN points are still valid and you can get an ITA again.

I think it is a bigger risk you are taking by declining this application now than any anticipated risks of applying now. Your call.

All the best!

I totally agree. The draws have been so erratic, so unpredictable, that I don't think anyone - even someone with a PN - can count on getting a second invitation. Of course, the PN makes it more likely. But why not let CIC be the arbiter of whether your application can go through when your wife cannot be x-rayed and you are waiting for FBI clearance? I actually don't think your wife's condition will cause a rejection, and some people who submitted applications while still waiting for the FBI were rejected, while others were just told to send it along when they got it. Unfair, I know, but different strokes for different VOs....

As long as declining is concerned...you will not lose points of your PN if you decide to decline the invitation...I my self did that once and my points remained unchanged...
