Nominated by Alberta, but found a job in ontario

I was nominated by the province of Alberta sometime back, I did all my landing formalities and all and I then got the PR as well. I am in US currently and have found a very good job in the Province of Ontario.
I need to know that is it advisable to take up this job, or will I have to find something only in alberta. What are the consequences if I take up the job in a different province ?

As far as I know, there are no negative consequences of taking a job anywhere in Canada as you are a Canadian PR, not an Alberta PR. I personally would like to live, work and contribute to Alberta as they have given me this opportunity, but if you can't find anything there, you must survive and for that you may have to move elsewhere.

But I think it is best to e-mail your immigration officer in Alberta who sent you your PN certificate. I think he/she will be the best to answer this question. To make it not look bad on your part, you can tell him/her that you have been actively looking for a job in Alberta, but decided to check the job market elsewhere too and got an offer in Ontario and what your options are. Thanks for your reply. I have infact been looking for a job in alberta for the last few months but did not find a decent one. Now that I have limited time left before I will have to leave the US that I tried out for jobs in Ontario and in the process have got a very good offer which I do not feel like turning down.
But my question is after 3 years of stay in Canada when I apply for the Canadian Citizenship, will it be a problem, since I was nominated by Alberta but never worked there.
I would personally like to go and be a part of Alberta's economy.

I think you can check with Officer, but as far as 3 year rule is concern, I think you can take this job and keep on looking a job in Alberta and as soon as you get one good/decent job there can move to Alberta. For citizenship just keep record of all mails/emails for your job search and try that may help to prove the point that you genuinely tried searching a job in Alberta but was not able to get one.

I have never heard of anybody having a problem but just in case somebody asks, keep some records that you have looked for jobs in the province that nominated you. If you could not find one but got a job somewhere else, nobody can fault you for taking it.

As a PR, you have the right to work and live anywhere in Canada. When you apply for PNP, you sign a document stating that you intend to settle in that province but there is no minimum time stated that you have to live there.
