Hey All

I am starting to compile the info needed for building my Express Entry profile. I am stuck however at the NOC selection. My current position is a Project Controls Engineer. I thought my NOC might be 1221 "Administrative Officer". But I would like some insight. My duties are:

1- Tracking, monitoring and analyzing performance KPIs used in invoicing and cashflow.

2- Producing various multi-leveled weekly and monthly progress reports as well as various client specific reports.

3- Extract progress information from programme updates using Primavera (P6) and verifying the correctness and accuracy of the reported data against actual progress on site.

4- Assisting in analyzing Contractor time and cost claims and writing claims recommendation reports.

5- Reviewing the Contractor’s weekly and monthly programme updates for accuracy and consistency, and reporting and analyzing findings.

6- Utilizing Acumen Fuse to generate programme quality and integrity analyses which compare two or more programmes.

7- Extracting and formatting P6 generated programmes by utilizing filters, grouping and layout options in P6 in order to meet requirements (detail or high level)

8- Writing Project executive summaries, briefs and other high level informative literature.]

9- Assembling relevant data, charts, analyses and preparing progress presentations used in senior and high level management meetings.

10- Monitoring the Contractors’ performance, identifying risks to the Project and subsequently raising early warnings to ensure proactive and early response.

11- Attending progress meetings, controls meetings and coordination/interfacing meetings, recording meeting minutes and maintaining, distributing and following up on actions list.

12- Writing Project Controls and Document Controls procedures and establishing workflows that facilitate the work process.

13- Providing consultation on reports creation, in particular dashboard reports and robust tracking tools.

Thanks!

write to noc-cnp@workingincanada.gc.ca for any NOC queries. They will reply in 2-3 days. Kindly note, your job duties should match at least 60-70% of the NOC you're selecting.

I wrote to them and they responded with some guidance on how to use the search tool, but no advice on a suggested NOC.

I'm thinking the NOC should be either 1221 or 1241, but I'm lost :(

Hi yoraee, I have the same dilemma right now we have similar job roles. Could you share the NOC you used and have you got your PR?
