Dear All,

This is my first post in the forum.
Actully i applied for canadian immigration in april 2008 from Islamabad-Pakistan under Skilled Workers occupation list code (2172 - Database Administrator),

today i got one email from canadian immigration office that my case is not fullfilling the requirement so they are going to refund my fee. the email contents are as followings

""You have indicated that you have work experience in occupations with the following NOC codes: 2172 – Database Administrator – 2173 – Software Engineer. These occupations are not included on the list of eligible occupations specified in the instructions identified by the Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism and published in the Canada Gazette on 28 November 2008.

For the reasons outlined above, your application does not meet the requirements of the Ministerial Instructions and your application is not eligible for processing.""

Please note that i applied in april 2008 and the new list is issued in Nov 2008. Please assist me
Should i submit the new application.
Or there is any way to request them to process the application under the new code.(because i already changed my job in May 2009 as IT

Regards

khalil

april 2008 applicants are evaluated according to rules from Nov 2008. They mentioned that in feb 2008 that all future applicants from that point will be evaluated under the new rules when they come out.

Do you have an year of experience, within the last 10 years, in a job that is listed on the ministerial instruction? If yes, then apply. If no, don't waste your time.

Although new rules were announced in November but it was told that all the applications after Feb 2008 will be assessed under new rules whenever they'll come out. NOCs that you have listed doen't come under 38 occupations. The closest i can make is 0213, if you have one year's experience in this NOC than you can make a fresh application. Cheers
