Hi,
NOC categorizes jobs into Skilled level O,A, or B;
Semi skilled level NOC C
or
Unskilled level NOC D jobs.
Most Student immigration programs (including Federal CEC) require applicants to have work experience in skilled jobs... i.e NOC O,A or B category jobs.
To know more about official HRSDC classification of Occupations as per NOC check:
http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2011/Welcome.aspx --Here click on NOC 2011 Occupational Descriptions.
To see the overall description in a chart.. see the NOC MATRIX:
http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2011/pdf/Matrix.pdf
Remember... every occupation has a 4 DIGIT NOC CODE.
To know which occupation is either NOC O,A,B,C or D follow this rule:
Describes the NOC codes skill level from A to D
The skill level category is...
when the second digit is...
Skill level
A 0 or 1
Skill level
B 2 or 3
Skill level
C 4 or 5
Skill level
D 6 or 7

2.
NOC B level Skilled jobs (2nd digit 2)

Hope it helps.
