Hello,

Guys, I have a problem finding the correct NOC code for my work experience. I used to work in a large steel making company as a project scheduler, planner and controller working on the expansion and development projects which were mostly EPC projects. We prepared the project schedules, WBS, and then we updated the schedules as project progressed and prepared a lot of reports for different people. My background is mechanical engineering and I also have a master in manufacturing and another masters in industrial engineering. Would you please help me find the right NOC for my work experience?

Thank you

Hi please share which NOC you used? I have same experience as yours and currently confused which NOC to use 1221 or 2141.

Hello Ehsan,

I searched about NOC code for construction planner and scheduler and encountered your post. I hope you got your PR and get rid of all these nuisance questions. I am working for a construction company as a planner and scheduler; however, I am a civil engineer and my current position does not fit the civil engineer NOC Code. I am wondering what NOC Code you use for your PR application.
If you let me know, I will be grateful.

Hey, I used 1221 Administrative Officer. I know it sounds more like an administration job which it really is, but it’s the only noc other than managerial nocs that has the term planning in its Job description. Not all the jobs are listed and coded and IRCC is aware of that, so they won’t be very tough on this. Just try to match your current job description with the Noc description as much as possible, you can add more bullets than listed under this noc, so don’t worry
