@jes_ON

But the employment requirements vary in these two. I had a bachelor's degree in architecture when I worked there. For Architectural technologist's job degree is not needed.
Do you think they will consider this?

Architects and Architectural technologist's are actually very close jobs. It's just that Architectural technologist's don't have 5 year bachelor's degree in architecture. They do diploma in Architecture.

My job letter mentions my designation as Architect and the NOC code 2151.

@jes_ON

Do you think writing a point in LOE that makes it clear to them that I have used 2151 NOC code and not 2251 because I had a bachelor's degree in architecture can save me a little?

Hi, I am in a similar fix. If seniors could kindly help me to finalize the NOC
My job title is Credit Assistant at a bank.
The accountabilities for my job are -
1. Application processing and submission in accordance with channel specific policy and process

2. Obtain/compile all the supporting documentation required for completing credit requests

3. Partner with administrative support groups to facilitate the end to end credit decision process
4. Additionally, the Credit Assistant will: Understand and apply bank and business channel operating policies and procedures, and ensure necessary due diligence is taken to support the accuracy of all customer and partner transactions
5. Process assigned work volumes in an accurate and efficient manner, supporting the Specialist's and business's timeline commitments

6.Maintain good relationships with partner groups and team including responding to questions and concerns

*** 4/10 duties match noc 6235.

Unfortunately, your NOC is probably 1434, which is not an eligible NOC (it is skill level C).

In my opinion, this is for entry level/ administrative jobs. I was a teller and then moved up to financial service representative and now my job title is credit assistant. Would they not consider what your work experience says? Like the hierarchy? The 4 duties that I mentioned below in a separate reply do match.

Actually, bank teller and customer service is an even lower NOC, 6551

And there is nothing about "credit assistant" that indicates higher than an entry level job.

They go by the lead statement and the job duties and responsibilities. If you think there´s a problem with the NOC, that means there´s a problem with your job duties and responsibilities. If you think NOC 6235 is the best NOC for your job, you need to revise your job duties and responsibilities, because right now the correspondence is poor. I think the key thing that´s missing from your job description is it sounds like you do not interact with customers at all.

If 4/10 responsibilities match NOC 6235, but 6/10 match NOC 1434, then the VO will assess your job as skill level C.

Hi,I please help me here.

I worked for two offices. The first one for 11 months and current one for 2years &1 month. That makes it 3 years in total.

My employment letter from first job states only 3 points under duties and responsibilities. However, the NOC I claimed for states a total of 7 points. So, its less than 50 percent match as only 3 out of 7 given duties are matching.

I cannot claim anymore duties from that list. I am an architect and used 2151 code. There is no other possible NOC code for me also. They have written a line in the NOC code before coming to the duties saying- " An Architect performs some or all of the following duties".

What can be done other than requesting my ex-boss to add points? He is a really mean person and no matter what happens, he won't help me. This job's duration was 11 months only.

any update from you for the status? coz i hv a similar issue. thanks

Hi. I didn't take a risk. I somehow begged and convinced my ex-boss to add one more point. That made it to 4 out of 7 points matching which went fine with IRCC. I have got my passport request recently for stamping.

It is really a bit troublesome. Coz I am having a job in design team of an archi firm, mainly working on design coordination issues. Those on-site supervision and coordination with contractors are really not my scope of work!...
