Hi Forum Members

My current title is Procurement Manager

My career history is as

1. Company X- Purchase Engineer NOC 1225- ( 2010-2012)

2. Company Y
1. Purchase Engineer (2012-2014)
2. Promoted to Senior Purchase Engineer ( 2014-2016)
3. Promoted to Assistant Manager ( 2016-2019)
4. Procurement Manager ( 2019-2020)

Now i have selected 1225 ( Purchasing Agent) as my main NOC and not my current designation which is Procurement Manager NOC 0113 as i do not possess 3 years of experience in this NOC position.
My job duties are almost same as mentioned in NOC 1225.

So can my current designation create any confusion for NOC code ?

Also for NOC 0113- it is written that several years of Experience in NOC 1225 may be required.

So i am confused so as to show my current designation in my reference letter or not

It's all about your work reference and how much it corresponds to the lead statement of the occupation.

Pick the NOC which matches the most.

I already have an ITA with 1225 as my primary NOC code as 90 % it matches with it. However my designation is Procurement Manager hence the confusion.

No, differences in designation are common, it should not be a problem.

As long as the NOC you picked as your primary is accurate, that's what's important.

My confusion is if i State my current designation, will it create any issues ?
You could be designated as "King of the World" and your duties may be to sweep the floor clean.
Your NOC depends on the duties and not your designation.
Designation doesn't mean much.
