Background
I work at an early stage tech startup and I am currently waiting for an invitation to apply for PR.

The job duties that I have in my employer reference letter (written and signed by my CEO) matches the NOC my CEO gave me, however, my job title is a little vague, would it be problematic?

My job title is Business and Talent Acquisition Specialist and I applied with NOC of 2171 which is Information systems analysts and consultants. I technically work as a Business analyst and my main duties involve conducting various reports to improve our operations and suggest improvements to the tech team.

Thank you in advance.

Generally, the job title does not matter much, but in your case it seems to contradict your selected NOC (it sounds like you´re in HR). It´s not really possible for us to judge without seeing the job duties and responsibilities, but you need to also look at the lead statement

If your job is not IT systems-focused, then consider NOC 1122 instead -

What kind of suggestions do you make for the tech team? Is it more business-focused? Or technology-focused? Do you have any input in the development lifecycle? Or does your work come after a piece of software has been deployed?

Both really, I studied cognitive systems at UBC which is an interdisciplinary program between psychology and computer science (BA though not BSC). Here are my main responsibilities:

• Determines operational objectives by studying business data on sourcing, onboarding, placement and retention of staff on the platform
• Develops models to improve the inefficiencies in various stages of the staffing funnel
• Enhance systems by studying current practices in the technical side of the platform and suggest modifications for the tech team
• Monitors project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions
• Performs daily, weekly and monthly reviews and analyses of current processes using operational metrics and reports
