Bloomy, what many of us had to do is write the job letter ourselves so it closely matches the NOC code description. The problem is that while the work may be the same as the NOC code, how it is described in the company's job description may not match what CIC needs. That said, be very careful not to deceive CIC. Misrepresentation is very serious.
YamPower, yes you are right I do not want to put something wrong. This is my concern.
As I understood from the pointing system, if you have more than 3 years experience in the same NOC you will get highest mark, doesn’t matter whether you have 20 years or 4 years.
So I may indicate 5 years engineering and 1 year management NOC code and I will indicate the primary occupation as geological engineering (where I have 5 years experience).
And problem will be solved I guess.
But another consideration is that if Canadian government would like to hire more geological engineer and the sorting will be dependent on the years of experience at that time I will lose some advantage.
Where I could have 6 years total geological engineering experience if I could state all of my occupations under the code 2144 ( geological engineering )
