Greetings All.

Wishing everyone a very happy new year !!

I was wondering if someone can help me save some time and point out what the NOC code will be for a UI/UX designer? I have searched online but cannot come up with a definitive code that totally matches up.

Thank you in advance.

Cheers.

Thank you.

Not wasting your time between. Poor choice of words on my part.

I did search and couldn't come up with a one definitive code that works. I thought someone who has either applied or know of somebody who did might be able to confirm. Your search results give me multiple options that I saw as well but none of them totally fits unfortunately. May be 2175 is what everyone uses.

You have to look through the NoCs and find one that matches by at least 60%. Only the duties have to match, don't be concerned with the job title or education.

We all had to search for ours.

I'm in the same boat. The 2 NOC codes that potentially fit are 5241 and 2175.

5241 requires a degree in art or graphic design. The jobs titles listed under 5241 that fit UI/UX are:
  • user experience designer
    Web designer - graphic design
    Web graphic designer
    Web page designer

2175 is focused on Web Designers and Developers. Nowadays, Web Designers combine a lot of skills and are expected to design for mobile and other touchpoints. Some companies expect you to code a little even. This code doesn't require a degree in art or design (A bachelor's degree, usually in computer science, communications or business).

So I'm not sure which one you should go with. I'll probably choose 2175 myself as I haven't studied art or graphic design.

you can use 5241 if you have main duties matching the code. The Degree in Graphic design is a Employment requirement and not a necessity for applying code.

Thanks a lot for your reply. This helps a lot!

My duties do fit both codes actually. The only question now is whether the lead statement has to be somewhat written in the experience letter, or is it just the duties?

Use the code which matches 70% of the duties. job title is not so important. I have three work exp and all have diff job titles. The duties must be well defined.
I am sending you personal message for a sample of my ref letter.

I am in the same boat as the OP. My duties lie more within phone app design rather than web design. Could you please send me a sample of your reference letter as well?

Hi.. I'm an UI/UX designer who just started the immigration process. Did you get the OINP nomination with or without having a valid job offer?

I am a UI/UX designer too with the same trouble, and all of your answers really helped! Thanks guys.

I can definitely understand why this question is confusing, but jeez, some people can be so unnecessarily rude when asked. Nobody is saving their time by wasting your time, but rather gathering information from people with similar experiences before.
