DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Carry out all tasks associated with the registration processes in accordance with the Association’s established policies, procedures, templates, and timelines. Tasks include but are not limited to the following:
-Assist members with inquiries

-Review applications and ensure that all required documentation, including payments are submitted

-Prepare and send letters regarding the status of applications

-Correspond and follow-up with members on missing or incorrect data and documentation

-Enter information into database

Review and maintain Association’s members database to ensure information is accurate, up-to-date, and complete.
Assisting with member communication activities.
Collecting data, tracking membership statistics, and preparing reports.
Developing and implementing strategies to recruit new members.
Coordinating with the accounting department to track membership revenue.
Preparing membership marketing materials.
Organizing events and activities for existing and prospective members.
-Source new member benefits and conduct annual review of benefits utilization

-Conduct, analyze and prepare report for annual Membership Survey

-Coordinate Student Event at Annual Conference

-Responsible for the BCDO Booth at Optofair Tradeshow during Annual Conference

-Must be available for Annual Conference weekend to support Conference team

Provide support to the Membership Committee as required, including coordinating meetings, taking minutes, telephone/video conferences and committee functions
Monitor BCDO calls and emails, courteously greeting callers, determining the reason for their call/email, and answering questions from members and the general public or directing their requests to a different department as necessary.
Monitor Optomart (Job and Sales posting) in the members portal
Carry out all tasks associated with the Tech and Rural Access Funds. Tasks include but are not limited to the following:
-Review applications and ensure appropriate information has been provided

-Coordinate payments for optometrists with accounting department

-Answer inquiries regarding Tech and Rural Access funds

-Conduct annual audit of Tech Fund applications

-Update funding applications yearly as needed
