NOC code for M.A English, Director in an IT firm and supervising project development.

Hi All,

Please help me figure out the correct NOC for my profile. My details are as follows

Education :

M.A English, B.Ed, Post Graduate Diploma in Education Administration(Distance Learning)

Work Experience :

1. 2 years as coordinator at a school.
2. Resigned and pursued B.Ed for 1 year.
3. 2 years as coordinator at a college.
4. 3 years 6 months as director in a private limited IT firm run by my husband.

Our company creates an ERP system to be used by schools and colleges. My core roles and responsibilities in my current job profile

1. Based on my administrative experience as coordinator I identify the functionality to be added to our ERP product.
   
   
2. Develop functional requirement documents and flowcharts for the new functionality to be added to our application and feed them to our technical team.
   
   
3. Develop detailed functionality testing documents with real data to help our testing person understand how to test the flow of the new features added to the application.
   
   
4. Manage and track the development of new modules in the application and answer questions related to integration of new functionality with the overall application.
   
   
5. Supervise the chronological order of regression testing cycles to make sure that the user interface, validations and business logic being tested matches with the original functionality documents and flow charts.
   
   
6. Evaluate our competitor products to keep a track of the new features offered by them.
   
   
   Please suggest which NOC code applies to my profile. I am confused between 2171, 0013, 2174 and 1122.

You are not eligible for 2171 or 2174. Both these NOC are for IT consultants or programmer/developer and the education requirement is engineering or MSc/Bsc IT or similar. MA English is not a valid education for this NOC.
You can either go with 0013 with your 3.5 years of experience as a director, which I don't advise.
Best is to go with the 1122 with 4 years of school and college coordinator.
You can get the experience letter from school and college written around the job duties listed in this NOC.

Thank you so much for the reply. I was totally not aware of the detailed things you pointed out. But I do not have a 3+ continuous experience as coordinator as I took a break of 1 year to pursue my B.Ed. Can you please suggest any workaround to mitigate this problem.

That is fine. As long as you have overall experience of 3 years or more in the past 10 years, you can apply for a particular NOC.
