Hello everyone,
This forum has been very helpful for me and I appreciate everyone here. I was part of the people who got ITA on April 12. I was wondering if anyone can tell me what NOC code they think is applicable to the following job description. This is basically what I have on my reference letter. A brief history about myself, I am on PGWP and graduated in 2014. I used to work as an HR benefit specialist from Oct 2014 to July 2015. Right now I am working as a Senior Service Representative, Bilingual with the Investment Funds Group at a Financial Institution. I have been working there since October 2015 and this is what I am using to apply for CEC as per work experience. I am currently thinking of using NOC 6314 but wanted to see everyone's opinion about it.Below are the descriptions as per my job reference letter. Thank you.
• Examine, review and verify financial and non-financial transactions to ensure transactions are accurate and in compliance with regulatory and bank requirements
• Co-ordinate with team and internal business partners to ensure delivery of timely, quality and efficient fulfillment activities.
• Resolve discrepancies/work-related problems and escalations that frequently deal with financial and non-financial requests
• Prepare and send monthly contribution reports to plan sponsors
• Investigate regular and complex transactions
• Ensures strict financial deadlines are met in a timely manner
• Deliver excellent customer service that builds trust through consistent and knowledgeable services and support

You have selected a supervisory NOC, but do not indicate the "supervisory" duties -

As identified in the NOC:

-Co-ordinate, assign and review the work of clerks engaged in the following duties: providing information and customer service; and serving customers in banks, trust -companies and other financial institutions

-Establish work schedules and procedures and co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments

-Resolve work-related problems and prepare and submit progress and other reports

- Identify training needs and train workers in job duties and company policies

As it is, without specific supervisory duties, then this job description will likely be assessed as 1434, which is not eligible (Skill Level C).

Hi all,

I am confused about my NOC too.I am working as an Civil Engineer in Training. I am not sure if I have to use code 2131 or 2231 since I do not have PENG. I am not sure if having Peng is a must or not. I checked 2231 and my duties are a better match to that, but I have a master and for 2231 they just want 2 to 3 years degree. What should I do? I will gain my 1 year experience in 4 month.

Thanks

Thanks a lot Jes_ON, I will see what I can do about it.
