· Coordinate Application Simplification and decommissioning of applications and compute to achieve cost out opportunity
Essential Responsibilities:
· Lead information technology projects and initiatives with broad scope and high impact to the business or serve as a recognized expert in a specialized field.
· Provide technical architecture (application, data, network, hardware / system software) leadership in the hardware / software selection, design, development, deployment, and production support of new and existing applications
· Responsible for major and complex assignments with long-term business implications; this role contributes to the overall business strategy and manages complex issues within functional areas of expertise
· Serve as the technical expert on assigned area's applications, including code, interface and data flows
· Coordinate with project teams and business analysts to translate detailed specifications into new or enhanced application solutions
· Maintain relationships across IM areas (such as infrastructure and operations) to support effective implementations
· Provide leadership and guide third party vendors throughout the systems development lifecycle, including code and test reviews, to ensure quality and conformance to the defined IM system architecture, standards and practices
When I applied the position was called Solution Architect, but through numerous title changes by HR now the position is called Enterprise Application Engineer (which really is a in-company title and has no significance). Please advice. ( I was thinking 2171)
