The new list released on 26th June. No more IT managers.
Do not forget about arranged employment. It has no cap.....

I want to get an employment offer from Canada. Where shall I start my search? Looks like its difficult to find an employer who can give a job offer and wait more than a year to get my PR approve.

WHAT ABOUT THOSE WHO HAVE APPLIED BEFORE THIS RULE WAS IMPLEMENTED

It will be processed as per the old rules. NO worries for them...

Arranged employment can be arranged by if u have any relative there in canada.

Ok this is new to me ... can you elaborate.
Let's say i have relatives in Canada, more than one.

I have applied back in March 2010 and the took the money on 02 May 2010. I still did not get any file number. I was thinking of re-applying and they changed the list. Is there any way to check the status of the old application.

You could call and check your status,They may ask your first language, my country, last residence country and then give you Client ID and B number, with which you could check your status at http://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/?app=ecas&lang=en using client id, You could call CIC on the below number.

Dial 00-1-613-9444-000 Slect option 1-2-1-2-1-0(zero for agent)

Thanks, I will give it a try.

AEO is not a kid's play !

A Canadian employer must show to HRSDC that they have posted a requirement for an employee and at that post they didnt get any application from any Canadian applicant for a month or so( I am not sure about this time, please double check).

I have pm'ed manir about how to get AEO, where did he manage his AEO from.
He didnt reply. It sounds fishy to me. I think some people is going to play a big game of winners in this no barriers in AEO system.

Canada will soon get the sense that how wrong it was to exclude 0213.
IT runs the world now, it is like your head nowadays, Soon Canada will feel the absense of qualified foreign Skilled persons in IT in its Workforce.

I see that 0213 will be recalled within a year or less.

Oh, no! I was waiting to graduate this month to submit my application! I have 1.5 years of experience as 0213 (IT Manager).

I'll try to have all the documentation ready to send as soon as they put it back on the list.

This makes me a saaaaaad panda... :(

You may be waiting a long time.

PMM

How long you think this could last?
What do you think the latest change wasnt made rhetroactively? does it mean they still need professionals from the NOC's they have recently slashed from the list?

Here is the data of Jobs Created in June 2010.

The unemployment rate was unchanged at 8.1%. Since the start of the upward trend in July 2009, employment has risen by 1.8% or 310,000.

In May, employment gains were found in a number of industries.

Employment in transportation and warehousing increased by 26,000 in May, offsetting the declines of the previous two months.

Health care and social assistance continued its long-term upward trend in May, with an increase of 18,000. There were also more people working in public administration (+13,000) and agriculture (+9,000) in May.

These gains were partly offset by employment declines in information, culture and recreation (-25,000); accommodation and food services (-22,000); and natural resources (-11,000).

There was little change in construction and manufacturing in May. Since July 2009, there has been solid employment growth in construction (+83,000 or +7.3%), while employment in manufacturing has been stable.

July unployment rate along with standings on many job sectors will come soon.

I hope I will post that as soon as it gets out.
