NOC CAP Formula

Hi All,

AS you know that the applciation complete page was recently updated
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/complete-applications.asp

Total received toward the overall cap: 163


I have done some analysis about the new update, not necessary correct...

Assuming the update reflect the the numbers until the 15th of May... so total days are 11 days since the 4th of May

so if we dig into it and take NOC 2147 as an example, currently the update says 20 were completed.

this means we need 15 times 20 to reach the cap which is 300....

so if we multiply 20 days times 15 times over 30 days we will get the results of 10 months.

this means the cap will reach for NOC 2147 in 5.5 Months from 4th of may which will be sometime in September


you can apply the same formula to all NOCs to estimate the CAP date...


This is just my point of view and not necessary correct.. but it does make sense to me

I appreciate your analysis, but it doesn't work that way, CIC should have received large number of applications during Mid of May. everyday is not the same. so no matter how much we speculate, its only CIC who can tell us, if we were correct. this is actually like playing THE RUSSIAN ROULETTE - (the bullet being the application numbers, the cylinder being the dates). I'll leave the rest for you to imagine more.
