Hello Guys

I am building my express entry profile however I have a few questions regarding work experience, I wonder if anyone could help me or point me to a thread please

1) Regarding work experience:
I have 2 years work experience in GP (Post graduation- Non trained) in Nigeria and 5 yrs work experience in general medicine in UK. Started GP training in the last 18months and have 18 months to finish in UK.
I note as a trainee I can apply with NOC 3112 (GP) but I am confused regarding the date I qualified for the Job as I am still in training, will it be date of qualification of primary medical degree as there is no provision for future date.
Also in terms of previous work experience: is it better to leave my previous experience as does not fall under the same NOC which will make me loose marks.
Your help will be most appreciated.

Many thanks in advance
Kind Regards

Hi. I hope this helps: This is just based on my experience. I gave 2 NOCs with 3112 as primary. I submitted NOC 3112 because I was a general practitioner (out of medical school, locally licensed to practice in my country) working as a junior hospitalist starting with the dates my license was granted to the time I started my other NOC (3111) when I started a local residency training program. Since I have not gotten my license for a 3111 job in my country, I went back to working 3112 job descriptions. I just followed the dates on my license and the hospital employment records can support.
Example:
Initial NOC 3112: GP license granted to the day before I started residency (2.5years)
NOC 3111: first day to last day of residency training (can be supported by my training records) (3y)
second NOC 3112: the day after my last day as resident to present (can be supported by my current work's records) (almost 2 years)

Not sure what you mean by losing points for another NOC. Was that work experience not in the medical field?

Thank you very much for prompt response. I have a similar experience as yours. I applied last year with 2 NOC as you described but wasn't ITA but I didn't have ECA then sow aunt sure if it was ECA or NOC related.
In my case, I practised GP (NOC 3112) in my home country for 2 yrs post graduation before I migrated to England, done medical Jobs (Non training), for 5 years.
If I resubmit on express entry with NOC 3112 which is my current training position, due to complete in future, Is it better to use my previous experience in home country and current post only which I can get the references easily as the Jobs I did in medical posts were in different hospitals and I am not sure how to chase the references.
So the last question was ignoring those 5 yrs experience in between will it affect my application score and chances for ITA?

Since they are both the same NOC (GP/ Family Medicine Practioner), I think it is safe to submit both as long as you can provide the supporting documents post-ITA. My reference letter for my NOC 3111 training was just my training officer and the department chairman's letter. :) Luckily my training hospital was (literally) right across the building where the Canadian Embassy is in my country!

ITA really just deals with your CRS score. Have you tried computing for yours? I can help you with that. PM me your other details: age, IELTS, education (I assume you already have your ECA with MCC), spouse age and education and spouse's IELTS.

Likely it was the ECA was the reason for your not getting the ITA. The language test and ECA are required pre-ITA.

Hi All,

I have close to 13 years of exp working in the field of IT enabled services like sales support, Business Operations, Business Analysis, Partner Chanel enablement. These job roles doesn't require any technical knowledge and I don;t have either. Have worked in world class org like Dell, Hewlett Packard, IBM, Oracle and Microsoft.

I am sure we have a large number of people in a similar field who either have already migrate or looking to migrate. I am looking to migrate and start the procedures towards the same. Want to understand how is job market for professionals like us and what is the NOC code.

All your suggestions are appreciated and welcomed. Thanks in advance.
