I applied in Dec 2008 to CIO and sent in my application to Buffalo VO in Feb 2009. My application went into process in late July 2010 and couple of days later, got medical request and a request for new PCC. Sent in the medical in September and the new PCC in late October (couple of days after the deadline that was given to me. However, I had earlier sent a letter saying that it would be late and the reasons for it.). About a week and a half later, got my PPR request.

I did not do IELTS either. I submitted a letter to reason why my language skills were adequate.

Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Maaties.

I am also in this group and i did not also take IELTS. I wrote a very comprehensive explanation of my English Language skills, Did my Bachelor's and my specialization was in the English language, Evaluated my degree with World Education Service and it was written in the equivalency that i got my degree in Foreign language and graduated with a Master's degree and was eligible to do Doctoral studies in the English language. I also indicted i am able to speak and write in French.

I hope all of this helps me to sail through the process.

My application is presently in process.

Waiting for medicals.

ArshadAli,
Thanks for the information. Well since my application was sent in process, i was convinced that they think my skills are good enough, if not they would have requested me to appear for IELTS. Well i am still waiting for medicals.

Hi! all 4131 friends,
I applied in Sep 2009 and sent in my application to Singapore VO in Mar 2010. My application went into in process on 18 Nov'2010 and couple of days later, got letter said that I passed 67 point but they not satisfied my IELT moderate band at 5. In conclusion of the letter said as belows:
''Should you wish to disabuse me of this conclusion you have 60 days in which to provide any evidence that you consider to germane.
If you fail to response, you case with my opinion that this application should be refused and the reasons therefore will be forwarded to another officer to review, Should he or she concur, the application will be refused''
Sofar I will sit IELT again on 11 Nov'10. But i am not sure that i can improve my score in this short period. Let see the result.
By the way can i write them that i have been working in multinational company for 20 years and English is major communicated. I aslo will write them that I will learn English after getting the PR. or any evidence that should be make sence.
Do you think my case is very slim?
Your comment and suggestion is highly appreciated.
Thank you so much in adavnce.

U should improve it through IELTS bcoz as i have already discussed they dont need too much teachers now,so chances of rejection are more, atleast 6 bands r acceptable as i have read it in different threads here

Hi!ArshadAli & Maaties,
Thank you so much for your sharing. I have obtained 67 points and I got 6 points with IELT 5 Band.
I will prepare more score in IELT and write them that i am going to study English.
Best regards,

Good luck. I am sure you will do well.
