NOC 4012 - Who should be the employer, Uni or Funding Agency?

Hello! I am applying for FSW EE under the NOC 4012 for my period as a research assistant during my Masters and my PhD.
I am now filling my profile and I have a question regarding who I should put in as my employer. Should it be the University where I worked and did my Masters and PhD, or the funding agency which paid my wages during those periods?
Any help is much appreciated as this is the only information hindering me from submitting my profile!

In most cases the Uni is the Employer.
Were you given an official offer letter of employment?
if there is none then it's better to ask the Uni.
