Hello friends,
Could you please advise whether the following duties written in the reference letter would satisfy the requirements for NOC 4012:
As a PhD candidate, __
• conducted a review of the relevant research literature,
• helped his PhD advisor in the analysis of a research problem, and publication of the results obtained,
• gave research talks at conferences, and
• helped in the conduct of seminars in his lab.
The salary and duration of the contract is mentioned in the letter, and it is signed by the director of the PhD program of University, not by the advisor. The advisor is a researcher in an affiliated, but independent institution, while the PhD contract was from the University. Could this create a problem?
The letter has the University letterhead, signature and contact details of the director of PhD program, but it doesn't have the stamp of the University. Is this an issue?
Lastly, PhD was defended 1 year after the end of the contract, during which time it was self-funded. Could this be a problem?
