yes. they received everything. i sent everything except IELTS, Which i sent on their request.

if you work as a rehab assistant in a full time capacity for 3months in Canada, it could help you evade some part of the evaluation and also the IELTS

Are you sure about that? Where did you find that info?

Cheers

If you work as Physio assistant for a minimum period of 6months you don't have to do the mandatory course... context of physiotherapy practice in Canada. Again these depends on the reference from your employer. If all part of your Physio education is not in English you must do IELTS.. have u started ur credentials....

yes I have started my credentialling and the letter says three months of full time employment as RA would suffice. With that I wont do Context of Practice in Canada and IELTS, possily some other ones based on my employer"s ref. It"s a question of what you believe

My visa office is also London, I am however a post June 2010 applicant. I think London VO stipulates that original transcripts must be in the university sealed envelopes. That's what I submitted to the CIO. There's very little evidence to show that PTs are given priority ahead of other applicants within the same cohort. The only thing we know for sure is that post June '10 applicants get priority over previous cohorts.

Hi Guys! thanks for this thread.

I'm happy to hear from you guys... :) :) :)

thanks 9jcanada,

but when i was applied, my consultant told me that if required they will ask you to send original transcripts with University Sealed Envelope.

So, I received 2nd AOR on 16-Feb-2011 and my status is now In process since 22-Feb-2011, what can i expect from London Additional Docs or Medicals????

any inputs will be highly appreciated......

I suppose you can only wait and expect what comes next from London. If they indeed require a university sealed transcript, then you will be contacted if they are however satisfied with the documents they have then you'll probably receive medical next.

Just to share my timeline, I submitted my application to The Alliance in December 2010. According to the The Alliance document update they received all documents from my training institutions in January 2001. I got an email from the credentialing officer 2 weeks ago that they are now commencing my evaluation and I can expect this to be completed about 22 weeks from the date of receiving my final document. This should bring me to the end of May. It appears it is now btw 20-25 weeks from the time the Alliance received all documents to finalize the review.

You are referring to the "Context of Physiotherapy Practice in Canada" right? Yes, the easiest way to go about it IMO is to apply for the Alliance's self study module. I completed mine within 5 days. It's really simple and straight forward + the module has some chapters like documentation procedures, ICF nomenclature etc that would be helpful in terms of preparing for the written exam. If you email the client service coordinator and notify her of your intention to complete the module, she'll email you the form to complete and once you make the payment, the module will be forwarded to you either by email or by post depending on your preference.

Hope this helps.

The module includes a set of multiple choice questions. You will be required to complete the questions after reading the module and score yourself (an answer sheet is provided). Also included is a self declaration form to confirm that you have read and completed the questions by yourself. You are required to complete this, have it attested to by a notary public and then forward it to the Alliance.

Hope this helps.
