well explained. In canada the job market is not open for foreign doctors unless they pass the 3 exams defined by MCC. believe me, its tougher than USMLE and prospects for foreign doctors are much better in US or Australia. Most of my friends there are not into the medical profession right now.they are studying some subjects related to health but not medicine. Its the harsh reality but there are exceptions and always there will be some.Greenrice said:I also concern about applying into Express Entry after applying to FSW14, based on the following reasons:
- if apply, can take advantage from current IELTS scores and ECA before they expires anyway.
- there is hardly a chance for getting 600 points from job offer or province nomination as being a foreign doctor anyway. Even though entering the pool for job market but without Canadian registration, who dare to hire a MD?
- Unless CIC choose applicants based on occupational cap as well, otherwise a MD almost never "stand-out from the ground". The pool is crowed by younger participants, or by applicants with non-registration occupational who have absolutely much higher chance of getting a job from the pool market then can jump up the line/queue.
A lot of health professions in Canada require registrations which can't be done outside Canada. What is a way out ? How to get a job offer, left alone LMA certification?
Unless there is a province/state nomination program in 2015 which do not require a job offer!
(This "spiral requirement" appears in Australian immigration process as well (called Skill Select)).
What i mean to say that Unless CIC develop an invitation pool based on professional categories, the foreign medical graduates will suffer. Cause other professionals like managers, software engineers, nurses, caregivers have more chance to secure a job offer. Actually EE is just an old wine in a new bottle inspired by australian model.
But if you apply early then there may be a chance. one thing i will say also that now all the provincial nominees will also apply in EE which will give them a quicker access.
I dont like EE much cause it seems unfair for certain NOC's.
I will stick to my FSW application and wait......because i know its tough to manage to ships at a time for me.
