It might take up to 21 days to send ECA report. If you are lucky, you will get before that time period. Hope for the best.Wash an said:Thanks for kind words. I'm hoping too
Once your ECA process completed and you are waiting for the report, you should start gathering the required documents for the application to CIC.FSWCIO said:Nice to see people getting their ECA, meanwhile senior please suggest the complete document checklist for us to apply for visa. And lots of us might don't like agent and would love to do the total visa process by themselves like me. So it would be very much helpful if somebody explain The complete do it yourself process of applying for FSWP step by step. Thanks.
Nice work. +1 for youzsw said:Once your ECA process completed and you are waiting for the report, you should start gathering the required documents for the application to CIC.
Following are the steps and if perform simultaneously will result timely and successful application.
1- Submit courier request to MCC for ECA report
2- Arrange birth certificates for principle applicant, spouse and dependents (if any)
3- Arrange passports for principle applicant, spouse and dependents (if any)
4- Arrange police certificates (though its not necessary at this point of time but you ll have at least 20 days for ECA report, I strongly suggest that police certificate should be in order and submit with the application it ll help you to avoid unnecessary delay in processing of the application)
5- Collect your work experience letter from your employer(s) along with employment contract and if possible get the salary slips. Make it sure that your duties match with NOC 3112 at least 70 to 80% and also mention few extra duties which are not mentioned in the NOC 3112. If you have more than two employer try to get separate work experience letter and I believe you ll provide your employer to make letter according to CIC requirement so make it sure that your both letters does not match with each other. (original work experience letter will go with application and salary slips, work contract etc. send notarized copy with application)
6- Arrange funds in bank: the required funds are
Number of
Family Members Funds Required
(in Canadian dollars)
1 $11,824
2 $14,720
3 $18,097
4 $21,971
5 $24,920
6 $28,105
7 or more $31,291
The above mentioned funds should be in account of principle applicant (preferably) or in spouse account at the time of filing of application.
If your salary comes in your bank account then I will suggest to submit bank statement along with letter from the bank confirming the balance of your account. If you get salary in cash then I ll suggest just that balance confirmation letter along with your salary slips. The balance should not be less than the required amount. (original letter will go with the application)
7- I believe that you have your IELTS result with you and it should not be less than 6 band in each module. If its less than 6 band of principle applicant your application will not consider. (you have to submit original with your application)
8- Download the fresh application form from http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/skilled.asp
as there are 4 forms updated in august 2014 so I strongly recommend that if you have filled the forms already make it sure you have the updated one. Fill your duties in Schedule 3: Economic Classes [IMM 0008 SCHEDULE 3] form and attach extra sheet if required.
9- Get a pay order for fee, its $550 for principle applicant and $550 for spouse and $150 for each dependent, you can calculate and fill the required amount Fee Payment Form – Application for Permanent Residence [IMM 5620]. I suggest go for pay order option rather Credit Card, we can see so many applications are returned just for this reason. You should get pay order not more than 30 days before the submission of application. Usually pay order is valid for 6 months.
10- Get English/French translation of your document (marriage certificate, birth certificate, police certificate etc. if they are not in English and notarized the same)
11- You should arrange all these things before arrival of your ECA report and as you receive just put your ECA report (original) with your application and send to CIC. I hope this way you ll save lots of time and your application will reach to CIC before filling of cap. At the moment we can see only 2 applications in NOC 3112 and I am sure if all of us gather everything before ECA report it ll really increase chances of acceptance of application.
12- Take a copy of all your documents and keep it for your own record.
13- Check your documents at least three times and if possible ask your friend or colleague to check your filled application forms, specially the dates, passport / identity no and issue & expiry dates. Double check spellings of name and do not forget to write your name in native language in Schedule A – Background/Declaration [IMM 5669] and Additional Family Information [IMM 5406].
14- Then finally sign your forms by principle applicant and spouse and mention the date. Do not over look these little things.
15- Finally tick the relevant box in check list and place your documents according to that order.
16- Once again check your documents and put in the envelop along with return address in English and in your native language.
17- Choose the best courier service and send the documents to CIC.
I tried to explain all the steps If I missed something please add, anything else I can do, all of you are more than welcome.
Good luck to everyone FSW2014.
