Update of CAP as of today:

Total received toward the overall cap: 401 of 25,000

I think CIC is at least one month behind updating the CAP So far NOC 3112 filled 0%. It's good news for all of us. But, we really can't rely on it.

I think CIC is at least one month behind updating the CAP So far NOC 3112 filled 0%. It's good news for all of us. But, we really can't rely on it.

Once your application is received by CIC, it is expected to be processed at CIC level on first come first serve basis. They check 67 points eligibility, all require documents, & if all well, CC/DD is charged & they send email with positive eligibility decision, to be transferred to visa office for further processing.

Currently all visa offices are working on backlog applications & FSW 2013 applications. They are expected to finalize all backlog applications by end of this year & hopefully most of FSW 2013 applications. It also varies on visa offices work load, NDVO has almost finished FSW 2013 applications, while LVO, Singapore visa office, paris visa office are lagging behind & still working on backlog & FSW 2013 Applications. So FSW 2014 are expected to processed by end of this year or early next year. NDVO may start early as they are done with FSW 2013 almost, so as CPPO. Other visa offices might take time to process as they are still struggling with backlog and new applications.

Dear friend

Earlier (last year) since I am FSW 2013 applicant, I sent documents to WES, and within 2 week time, they sent me e-mail that you possess MBBS degree and MCC is relevant body to issue you credential assessment report. Anyways, by 3rd of May 2013, I applied for MCC Verification.

Created account online, paid fees & requested for documents (MBBS, Passport copy, certified identity confirmation form, PMDC, Internship certificates) I got these all attested from Canadian embassy in Abu dhabi, & sent them documents via DHL. Within 2 weeks time, my documents were viewable.
By 3rd week of June 2013, my Passport, certified identity confirmation form, Pictures & MBBS degree were verified (as per MCC Online account) & I was sent email by MCC to contact PMMDC (Pakistan Medical & Dental council) to settle payment issue, since ECFMG sent verification letter to PMDC. I called PMDC, & they verified/confirmed that they have received letter from ECFMG for verification & they asked me to send payment of 6500 paki rupee as service charges/courier. I did it immediately.

Meanwhile, Important point..........................You don't need PMDC/License verification confirmation for ECA. Once MBBS Degree/diploma is verified, you can apply for ECA REPORT. In 2 weeks time I received ECA report.

Yes I feel it was quick for me, once your MCCC account showing document received/process, contact your university immediately & confirm if they have received verification confirmation from MCC. & You really need to push them up to act upon immediately. Most delays are not from MCC but from our institutions. This is what MCC told me. And I agree with it.

If you are in UAE, Canadian embassy is no longer accepting attestation & have stopped attestation services since last month (may 2014). You can get attestation from US, UK, Australian embassy (which ever is feasible). I have heard you can get attestation from notary public but I am not sure. I didn't took this risk to get my documents back based on notary public attestation. Moreover if you get attested from embassy, documents are believed to be more authentic & genuine.

Prepare for MCCEE, try a few mock tests. Pay the exam fee when you are confident.

You can refer ‘Toronto Notes'.

After giving the MCCEE, do the IELTS (academic module).

As far as I know, these are the only exams we can do before we enter Canada.

Contact first your medical college & ask them about it. Surely this is not going to be first time ECFMG would be contacting your college/University. Check with your medical college & if they tell you that that University is responsible to respond to ECFMG then contact University. My understanding was, it is awarding body whom ECFMG should contact but other people on forum didn't agree. If your status shows In Process, then contact college/university immediately. Mine status shows verified.

For Immigration Purpose, you do not need to send License/registration certificate like PMDC in Pakistan as you do not want it to be delayed. Basic concept of credential assessment at immigration level/purpose is to match your degree with Canadian level. so just concentrate on MBBS, Once it is done & you receive ECA Report, later you can add rest of documents for verification.

Dear, I sent internship/house-job certificates for verification. But I will not suggest you to send it now, as it does not require for immigration purpose. All you need is MBBS degree assessment. This is sole purpose of credential assessment. My PMDC & internship certificate verification took time but I didn't wait for that and requested ECA report after my MBBS verification done.

License/registration is required for exam purpose. I am taking exam in November 2014. So I sent my PMDC & Internship certificates for verification.

Please bare in mind, Degree is assessed & verified And rest of documents are only verified. At this Point , you need assessment MBBS for immigration Purpose.
