NOC 2283 Query from CIC

Hello Seniors, I got below query from CIC. Any help is appreciated

Dear XXXXX,

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada. I am writing you this letter to express my serious concerns regarding your application.

I am not satisfied you possess the work experience required.

I note you declare work in Canada in NOC 2283 Information systems testing technicians from XXXX-XX-XX to XXXX-XX-XX with XXXXXXXXXXX.

I have reviewed your background, and I am not satisfied you could reasonably perform the actions described in the lead statement and a substantial number of the main duties of the occupation as set out in the occupational descriptions of the National Occupational Classification, including all of the essential duties of NOC 2283 Information systems testing technicians per Subsection 87.1(2) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations.

It appears that you have not completed a college program in computer science, computer programming or network administration nor have you college or other courses in computer programming or network administration as per the employment requirements listed in the National Occupational Classification (NOC) for 2283.

Per your Schedule A, you possess an MBA from a Canadian University and an Indian Commerce Degree.

I also note that you have not declared any previous work experience that that which you claim to have acquired in Canada.

Therefore I am asking you to submit any additional information/documentation that would allay my concerns. You have 30 days from the date of this letter to submit the additional information. Please reply directly to this email and put your application number in the title.

It seems that you have to provide them with more proof. Get some letters from your work and outline the main duties, make your supervisor to sign or stamp it if possible. Also as the officer mentions at the bottom declare the work experience you have gained in Canada. This goes along with your work letter/letters.

Don't worry much, you are lucky your officer is giving you a second chance. Usually they reject the application off the bat. It looks to me as if he/she is very confused in regards to your application and he/she is trying to help you.

Get your stuff together, any additional document related to your NOC will help, write a cover letter explaining the misunderstandings, be polite and reasonable, email them the scanned documents and mention that you have no trouble sending them the original documents via post if they ever needed them.

Yes My employer is ready to provide me letter with what they had trained me and also before starting my job i had done some fast track course for 3 months in a private institute from India and i have that certificate too.. This would be enough for the officer? I am really worried.

Perhaps, they refer to your specialization. Some jobs seem to require a degree, but if your employer provided you with sufficient training, maybe send a letter from your employer pointing this out.

Perhaps, they refer to your specialization. Some jobs seem to require a degree, but if your employer provided you with sufficient training, maybe send a letter from your employer pointing this out.

Exactly as you mentioned my employer provided me training on software testing tools. Here is another question my training period is considered to be in experience or not?

Providing additional information as long as they are related, never hurts. So I would say your related certificates are going to be useful. Also don't forget to compose a cover letter (with date, case number and your information) explaining the situation very politely (don't do this in your email body, compose it in a different document, sign it, scan it and attach it with your documents), mention it in your email. Don't go forever on this letter. Make it short, simple, to the point and one page. Stay professional.

Put yourself in your officer's shoes. After reading your own cover letter and additional documents would you, yourself be satisfied? If yes send the documents.

Don't rush it, also don't stretch it. Don't worry much, stressing out is not a good thing at this stage. Regardless, stay positive, always. You'll get there eventually. And remember the officers are not evil. They do whatever it takes to help you, reasonably.

Thank you so much for Your support.. Its really very stressful situation. I had consulted one of the reputed Immigration lawyer for second opnion and he scared hell out of me. He directly mentioned it is very complex case pay me 4000$ we will take care of it.

Lawyers want your money. Your case seems solvable with a simple new letter of employment explaining your duties and training. The lawyer does not see a lot of profit in your case, hence, he scares you away. Your situation does not seem hopeless.

Remember, they don't know anything more than you know. I think you can handle it yourself. Don't go waste your money, specially this amount of money. But sometimes people tend to spend the money just to sleep better at night and have that little extra assurance. If you think this is your case, then go ahead with the lawyers.

But then again there is not much they can do extra. You are a grown professional person and I can see from your credentials you are well experienced. Stay positive and professional as one expects from you. Don't stress out! Stay strong. As OhWow mentioned your case is solvable and easy to crack.

This part is not exactly true. You will have to be careful as training in order to qualify for a job is not included as part of the experience for the said job. CEC's jobs usually require proper training, skills or education. CIC can consider that until you completed the proper training, (especially if it was 3 months of full time training), you did not work under the NOC code and only started working under that NOC code once you started performing the tasks of the NOC code.

On the job training though, will qualify as experience. The difference is subtle but make sure you have it right before you reply.

They charged me 300$ just to explain me to pay 4000$ in an hour

my 3 months training was before joining the job, it means after completing the course I started job search.

and 15 days of company training as far i know any IT Company after joining would provide minimum 2 weeks of paid training? You mean this can not be included as part of our job?
