NOC 2174 - Job duties

Hi,

Can someone please review the below duties for job code 2174.

• Work on development of stubs in Tibco Business Works based on specifications provided by the client.
• Monitor Tibco, SAP XI and Informatica applications to identify defects and raise those defects with the concerned team.
• Document the monitoring and defect raising process to ensure that the team performs the relevant tasks at regular intervals.
• Modify existing Tibco applications code to ensure that the client’s updated requirements are met without impacting their existing system.
• Prepare test cases and document the test results, create test data for System and Integration testing.
• Perform System testing, Integration testing and End to End testing for codes developed in Tibco.
• Co-ordinate testing of Tibco services with third party teams and ensure that the issues are resolved within the defined service level agreement timeframe.

Any help on this is much appreciated.

I am also applying with NOC 2174. It looks like you have covered 100% of the duties, very comprehensive. Don't think there is anything to worry about

2174 is highly scrutinized NOC... its majorly for data science... I would recommend 2173

I believe the job duties matched more with 2174, hence I chose 2174 over 2173.

Do you think that it matches more with 2173?

So people ofter confuse with 2173 and 2174 ... i used 2173 even though i was working on azure and cloud etc.... keep in mind 2174 goes under more scrutiny as 2173 is more genric.. when my work permit was issue 2174 was used... but iused 2173 for all my old experience ans 2174 for present job and as i am data sceince manager

I would go with the NOC code that matches the job duties. I have seen people saying that 2174 is more highly scrutinized but I have found no evidence to back this up. 2173 looks to me more of a description of the duties of a team leader rather than a software developer.

there is no evidence... try it.. its all over forums.. and take advise from people who have pr and have both NOC codes in their profile.
2174 is more regulated NOC code, and raises brows of officers... and he Is talking about informatica etc.. now if officer really wanna be an ass... he can say use 2172.. as its more database related...
I am telling you from my experience.. you can put whatever u will like, I am least bothered... but I can only tell ya, from my experience and first hand experience of living ,working and hiring people in canada.

I searched the forums and could not come across a single case where a candidate with NOC 2174 with reference letter mentioning matching duties was rejected. If you'd like to share some, I am happy to change my view. Also, your first hand experience itself suggests that there is no problem considering that you had two successful applications (work permit + PR) where you mentioned NOC 2174 for your current job

Hi All,
I got employment reference letter from the HR of my company which has all the required details per the CIC requirements. But it mentions that the letter is solely for the purpose of Study. They have denied giving same letter for immigration purpose. Can I still use the letter along with the denial email? And get the same job/ duties confirmed by one of my colleague ?

Hi, I have old Work Permit under NOC Code 2174 but all my Duties and Responsibilities will tie with 2171 and my new Work Permit is also under 2171 too.

Which NOC Code I should be applying my PR?

Also, under new NOC Code: 2171 - I dont have minimum 1 year Experience still. What will be the best choice?

• Should I be selecting 2171, which is more suitable to my Roles and Resposnsibilities?
• Should I be selecting 2174, which is accoridng to my Work Permit Experience?
