NOC 2173 suitable for MCA graduates?

Hi friends,
I am working as Software test Engineer. My job responsibilities suit NOC 2173. But when coming to PNP program, it is being asked to submit the Engineering Certificate. 2174 is for Programers and dont find any testing category. What to do? Kindly Suggest me

I am MCA graduate and selected NOC 2173 for my PR application.
Though, My designation is Senior Member of Technical Staff

Designation doesn't matter but when I choose 2173 , It is mandatory to produce Engineering certificate for SINP program. Thus it confuses me a lot. However MCA is Professional degree but what to do in case of asking for Engineering certificate?

NOC 2173 also applies to engineering jobs which are "regulated" in Canada hence SINP may be asking for that certificate. Is it mandatory to provide this certificate ?.

Anyways, did you check NOC 2174 ?. It's very similar to 2173 but applies to "unregulated" jobs so no certificate would be asked.

The roles & responsibility that you have on your Company letter should dictate which NOC you should use NOT Your Job designation.

I think engineering certificates does not matter for Outlanders. It is required by Inlanders if applying for SINP, not sure for OINP though.

For OINP i have seen so many people with 2173 who got nomination and PR.
